About Bristol Taekwondo
The schools Chief instructor is Master Christopher Davies who is a 6th Dan Black belt, Master Davies started his training back in the early seventies along with his twin brother who is also a Taekwondo Master. He originally began his training in the Pak Mei (White eyebrow) style of Kung Fu but after several years the instructor moved away and the brothers changed their style to that of WTF Taekwondo under a number of overseas students from Hong Kong and Malaysia

We have been joined by master Ok Yi Park from Korea, Master Park was 2 times state female champion and part of the 1992 Korean Olimpic Demonstration Team in Barcelona.

Master Park is also the BTA Liaison officer between the UK and Masters in Korea.

Some early photo's of Master Chris Davies, his twin brother Master Andy Davies and Master Dung Levan. All three had the same instructor and hailed from the same club which was situated on Blackboy Hill, Clifton, Bristol.

The left picture was used by Combat magazine for advertising purposes on several occasions for a number of years, both are touched up scans of the actual pictures from Combat Magazine. The pictures were taken around 1981 when Master's C and A Davies were only 2nd Dan's and Master D levan was 1st Dan.

The club where they learnt had about 20 members, as a thought how many other clubs of such a small number have had 3 of their members go on to reach 6th Dan?
